Topic: HDSP 9652 PCI SPDIF option not showing on playback settings

Hello

I have two Windows 10 computers, both with an HDSP 9652 PCI card
On the older computer, all the RME output choices show up in Windows Settings/Sound. I can select SPDIF and get my desired digital output from the breakout cable (red phono socket)
On the newer computer, only ADAT 1+2 (plus the internal soundcard) show up. I can't select SPDIF as the default sound output as a result.
TotalMix on the two computers shows the difference.
What am I doing wrong setting up the newer unit?

Thanks!

Jonathan

In HDSP Settings app with recent drivers installed, there is a section for configuring the WDM channels you want active.

Thanks Jeff

Sorry to sound stupid, but where is the HDSP Settings App?

I've set these cards up before a number of times without problems, don't know why I'm struggling this time..

Thanks.

I had to update the firmware from v104 to v108 using a a compatibility setting. Then it all worked perfectly.

These older products are amazing, as I'm sure the newer ones are as well.
