Topic: [Solved] Fireface UC issue

Hi everyone,
I have Fireface UC, which is perfect small audio interface for me. It worked whole year 2020 fine, but 1. 1. 2021 something happened. I turned on my computer and HOST LED was still red. I try change USB cable, but no change. TotalMix FX didn't work and LED light at ARC USB was off.

I checked the drivers and it appears here is the problem. There is some communication issue. Device changed the Product ID from 3FCE to 3FCF and therefore the name of device is Fireface UC Mac now. OS Win 10 cannot assign the correct driver. Then I tried change drivers manually. The Older one and newer one as well.

Everything looked good with drivers installation, but the only positive result is that red HOST LED is off. The system does not play sound through the fireface, TotalMix and ARC do not work.
I tried it on three computers already (WIN 10, 8, 7), still the same problem.

The serial number in parentheses is correct.

The manual has the solution. Turn the unit back to PC mode. It is now in AP (Apple mode).

Thank you, I only looked at the Stand-Alone Operation, I forgot about this possibility in Hardware Installation. Plus, I have no idea how I did it before (switch to AP).

Issue solved.
