Topic: Routing Madi channels

Hello,

I have a madiface pro with madi connected to external 32 channel IO. I would like to have the external IO show up as inputs and outputs 1-32 in my and other apps.

As it is, totalmix assigns internal ports of the madiface to slots 1-4. I dont have use for them (yet) and would like disable or move them to numbers 33-6

I could not get my head around how to do this in totalmix. Could you help me out how to achieve this?

Re: Routing Madi channels

The channel order in TotalMix is predetermined by the driver.
This can be different in the application.

If you do not want to see certain channels in TM FX, then you can blend them out in Options -> Channel Layout
and optionally save different channel layouts in 6 different Layout Presets (TM FX, right side).

See manual.

Re: Routing Madi channels

Hello,

I managed to hide them in Totalmix but still having the same issue with logic. My inputs start from 5-6 and I cannot seem to disable them in any way of form. Only thing I can do is label everything by hand but that's it still shows the inputs a bit wacky.

Each DAW is a bit different. Maybe worth to open a case with Apple ?
