Topic: LED MIDI IN flashing

Good evening everyone - new user here, please be patient with me

I have a Fireface UC and a MacBook.
As soon as I connect my piano to the interface (MIDI cable), the yellow midi in LED starts blinking.
I know that this says, that the device is not synchronised - but I don't know what it means and what I can do about it - my piano is no drum machine

Thanks for support

Zsolt

Re: LED MIDI IN flashing

You don't sync over midi. This is probably active sensing messages

Everything is OK, and you can only do something about it if the keyboard has a setting to turn off active sensing.
But there is one other possible cause. If there is dust in the midi controllers like mod wheel  and pitch bend and other knobs, they could be sending midi data continuously. You can check that with a midi in monitor or by recording midi in a daw and see what you record without playing anything. If nothing all is fine
