Topic: HDSPe AIO Pro Question

Hi! Today I became the owner of a new AIO PRO instead of my AIO. I bought the new card partly because it has a relay on the analog outputs that prevents click when the PC is turned on. Yes, it really happened - the speakers now do not click when the PC is turned on, but a powerful low-frequency click is heard during the PC restart. I'm a little upset because my previous AIO didn't do that. Is there a chance that this can be fixed in new firmware versions? It would be great to get rid of this little problem.

Currently my firmware version is 19.

Are you talking of a so called warm boot? Just restart Windows without power off? We tried that and it worked for us. We are most probably able to fix that but first we have to find a computer where we can reproduce it. Until then check your I/O levels. If the sound is 'a powerful low-frequency click' then the monitors are too sensitive. What output levels have you set in the Settings dialog?

I recorded a video with this problem at +4 dBu and +24 dBu. It should be noted that the volume of my speakers is reduced at the speaker input by 26 dB. If this had not been done, it is possible that the glass in my window was damaged during the reboot big_smile

It would be great if AIO Pro would understand when a warm boot occurs and muted the analog output. I hope that from the video it is clear what I am writing about.


Otherwise, it works flawlessly, however, as always, RME products.


upd: Headphone out also clicks during reboot

New fut version 20 fixes the click during restart (German: Warmstart).
