Topic: TB3 auf TB2 auf Firewire für FF400 crashes

Hi all, I got a new Laptop with Windows 10. I got the Tunderbolt3 to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter and a Thunderbolt 2 to Firewire Adapter to use my Fireface400. I get random BSOD crashes. Did anyone succeed with this setup? Thanks in advance for your answers!

Apple is good in selling adapters that sometimes work and sometimes don't.
As far as I know, Firewire is not just the shape of a connector plug, it is a computer protocol for data transfer and the operating system must include that technology first.
Unfortunately Firewire is a technology that is being excluded from Microsoft and from Apple, therefor I think those adapters will not work properly.

Those adapters work for me and others, but they need a fully matured and stable TB base (latest TB BIOS and drivers for the respective TB chipset) up to fitting FW chipset drivers (included, legacy, whatever works). So it can be easy, but also complicated.

Oh thank you; that gives me hope and endurance ;-) to go on trying things...
