Topic: RME ucx to Adam AES3 in

Hello All
Does anyone know i would go about doing this?
What kind of cable do i need?
Do i create stereo from going from the one Adam speaker to the other?
Thanks!

Re: RME ucx to Adam AES3 in

You'd need an RCA/XLR adapter cable for SPDIF-AES/EBU. The speakers may provide some kind of way to split the signal, check the manual or contact the manufacturer.

Alternatively use an AES splitter: https://www.thomann.de/de/mutec_mc_11_a … verter.htm

By looking the user manual of your speaker, yes, it gives you stereo when connecting in serie.
Use two standard XLR cables, one from the UCX to one monitor and from there to the other speaker with the other cable.

ouch shit ! The UCX has no XLR digital output, therefor you need a special cable as mentioned above.

Such a cable for connecting the UCX to the first monitor :

Thanks for info,everyone!
Now i need to find out if the Adam speaker takes the spdif out of the RME and then i should be good.
I am into the Hauptwerk and looking to get 2 extra channels out of my UCX.I just happen to be using the 2 Adam speakers with the AES3 inlet so i want to get it to work.
Thanks!
