Topic: FF400 + Babyface setup advice
I'd like to keep the Babyface as my main outs and use the FF400 for the additional inputs.
Should I aggregate them in Mac or use the FF400 as the ADAT master? I'm on Mojave, looking to upgrade to Big Sur.

Both works, but I would use ADAT, then you can mainly work with one Total Mix instance. After setting the FF400 up in Total Mix (e.g. Routing the Analogue Inputs and/or SPDIF in to the ADAT Outs and the ADAT Ins to its Analogue Hardware Outs and/or SPDIF), you could even run it in standalone mode (unless you need to switch phantom power on and off, that is only possible via the driver software).
Make sure to set the Babyface Clock source to internal and the FF400 Clock Source to Optical In.
