Topic: connection between Fireface 802 and UCX

Hello y'all

I'm a RME UCX user for a long time and nowadays I'm considering to buy a Fireface 802 Interface. I'l like to ask whether I can connect my UCX to 802 (will be used as Master) as a slave interface. So I could have more preamps. Would it be possible ? If yes, then should I connect via SPDIF or is there any different way for it ?

Yes.

BTW .. SPDIF = 2ch @44.1-192 kHz, ADAT  = 8ch @44.1/48 kHz.

For what OS do you ask ?

For High Sierra. Also I’m thinking to upgrade to Big Sur.
