Topic: No access! message on TM remote iPad and M1 mac

Hi all,

I have been trying to finish the setup of TotalMix remote to control my FireFace UFX with my iPad Pro but the message "no access" keeps popping on the top right corner of the app. I believe the host connection settings are right as the iPad finds my UFX quickly but after a couple of seconds the no access message appears.
I'm Running a FireFace UFX via USB cable to a DELL D6000 docking station connected to a M1 MacBook air.
my firewall is off.
MacOS 11.2.1
Ipad pro 12.9 2020
Firmware version: 357 Driver: v3.24
Totalmix version 1.70 for mac
Totalmix remote  for ipad version 1.21

Thanks in advance for any help
Cheers!

Did you enable network remote access in the Totalmix options menu ?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I did. I have been using my UFX for 5 years with both Windows and Mac computers and so far it has been very solid the TM remote with iPad. Problem started with new M1 Mac...

Ah I see. M1 is new and almost all software makers have to go thru.
I guess there is a new version of Totalmix in progress with a fix.

What you can test, connect the UFX directly into the mac without docking station.

Done, but this way the UFX doesn't connect to the computer at all! I have the impression that must be some kind of firewall issue or extra security layer added from Apple on M1s or latest Big Sur OS.

All fixed now thanks with latest firmware and latest iOS. Just have to remember to only use  either wireless or wired connection on my M1. I I leave both on the iPad doesn't connect
