Is your device the Babyface Pro FS ?
Let's assume it is.
In Totalmix you can set the headphone output to be the main-output.
The DIM button is for the main-output (as set in Totalmix) only.
See e.g. TM FX help function, DIM is for: Main Out, Talkback.
If you need it for more outputs then you need to assign those as Main Out and save them to a dedicated Snapshot of its own.
Yes babyface pro. I cannot seem to assign the headphone outs to the main outs in the control room. It will not assign there? I try and assign it and goes to none.
In Totalmix control room, you are on the right place there.
The assign button opens the box where the main-out can get routed to PH (the last one to select).
Try it again.
You didn't tell your recording interface.
Might be helpful to put such information into the signature.
It's possible for the UFX+. Maybe BBF Pro is special in that regards or you did something wrong.
I can't test this, have no BBF Pro, maybe waedi can help here.

I updated my signature. Thanks,
I can assign the main out to ph 3/4 which is good. But I really would like to have both the main outs and the headphon outs dim at the same time. This is what I have been trying to accomplish.

Then create a fader group consisting of "Main Out, Phones, ..", phones will then follow the Main Out fader when using DIM.
Under the Assign button there is a Main out B, I don't know if it works but you can try it.
Assign the Main out B to the AN1/2 analog output and the Main out to PH headphones.
May be the Dim works for both main out at the same time.
Otherwise the methode fadergroup mentioned above from Ramses will be a good solution.

Did not work either. I created shortcut and switched the a and b buttons to snapshots 1 and 2 which is ok. But it would be nice if the outputs that I selected were also stored. For example in snapshot one I am controlling my monitors and in snapshot 2 I am controlling my headphones. So it would be nice if the selected output could also be stored. I still have to toggle(using the physical button out) to toggle between the headphone and monitor output level.
I must say that I appreciate being able to edit these buttons under arc and key command settings, I would also like to be able to assign the select button to something of my choice.
All your dreams come true as soon as you get the UFX+ and ARC.
The Babyface Pro FS offers all the features described in the user manual.
I can understand your wishes and there are probably a lot of people wishing the same, but there are limitations to every device.
There are units that covers almost all features you can think of, it just cost some more money in some cases.
Btw when you assign the main out B, did you also route some music to that output then ?
TM FX Control room, click Assign:
-> Assign AN 1/2 to "Main Out"
-> Assign AN 3/4 to "Phones1"
Create a fader group of "Main Out" and "Phones1"
If you DIM Main Out then also Phones1 moves due to the fader group works with UFX+ and I think this should also work for the BBF Pro, because AN1/2 and AN3/4 are two different outputs.
Can you please again check this out ? When reading your last posting I am currently not sure whether you did it right.

Yes! This way did it! Thanks
You're welcome. I'm happy for you that it worked after all.
Totalmix FX with Fireface 802. When talkback, Is this possible to dim specific output ?
My problem is if I monitor a headphone mix (ex: output 5/6) through my speakers in the control room, and I press talkback, I got feedback !!! Mic talkback goes to output 5/6 (which is monitored with the speakers) then to talkback mic.... got the picture ?
Any solution ?? thank you
