Topic: Compatibility problem between 9632 and motherboard

Hello, I have been recommended an Asus Prime Z490-P but unfortunately I notice that the 9632 does not fit in either of the two long slots. Is there a way to adapt it (even with an adapter) or do I have to change the motherboard? I can't figure out what kinds of slots this motherboard is and why it won't fit. Thank you.

Re: Compatibility problem between 9632 and motherboard

9632 is a PCI card, this is an old standard for expansion sockets.
Your Asus Mainboard has PCIe sockets.
Only very few mainboards provide PCI sockets these days ..
PCIe to PCI adapters are available, but no guarantee that this will run without any issues.

Thanks Ramses .. Eventually the AIO Pro would adapt to the current PCIe?

Thank. As I was satisfied with the hdsp 9632 (for its reliability, quality and stability in the drivers) I would immediately buy (even with my eyes closed) also an AIO Pro but its price is too high for my possibilities ..

Would a BBF Pro FS be an Option for you ? €125 less ... @T. for €698

Or a Digiface USB + external converter for AD/DA? (like the inexpensive Behringer ADA8200)
You could upgrade to a better converter, later, if you like!

I was using the 9632, as well, but at some point I needed to upgrade my PC.
Newer MoBos don't have PCI slots, so I got the DF USB +  Presonus DigiMax FS 8ch converter(AD and DA).
It's a great card and I 'm using it everyday! Not a single glitch! Never!! Plus, I upgraded my channel count, as well !

Also, I kept the 9632 for a second (older) system!

Re: Compatibility problem between 9632 and motherboard

Thanks for the suggestions, but I have half an idea or intend to leave the hdsp9632 on the old PC and focus on an Aio for the new computer .. After some questions and research they suggested the Reverb https://reverb.com/ site where there are several AIOs. use .. What can you tell me about it? If even here there is someone who wants to sell a used AIO maybe I can evaluate the idea.. Thanks.

It's another great interface from RME! All RME interfaces are!! Which one to choose, depends only on your needs!

Here's a link to the AIO, so you can check yourself!

You could, also, post this at the Classifieds section of this forum!
