Topic: driver 3.20 destroyed everything - halp! (solved)

Hi There=)

I just updated my babyface to driver 3.20 ...

Now my totalmix FX remote isnt working properly (screen not showing any changes i make on ipad) - can hear some changes tho..
totalmix not working properly either... (channel layout not changing, screen not showing correct values)
digicheck NG not working either..

Can you please point me to v3.19 drivers for mac?

I found the 3.19 driver using wabackmachine...

BUT

I cant install it... the driver still shows 3.20 in the fireface usb settings
-also totalmix doesnt open anymore...


can somebody help me pls?
(im new to mac  (mojave)  )

Update 2:

driver 3.19 is back on the system. yay.

but:

Babyface not visible in AudioMidiSetup on mac
and
Totalmix is not opening... (the ball is there under the dock , but the app itself isnt displaying)

Update 3:

After another install of drivers, totalmix is back..
the device is also recognized by the audiomidi setup...
totalmix remote is working again.

phewwww...!

I wonder why everything went so wrong after updating the driver from 3.19 to 3.20... hmmmm

Does anybod know what may have caused this?

If I'd have to guess, it's probably Apple's security.

Which version of Macos are you on?

man , i nearly freaked out.. hahahah

not gonna try that again (for a long while)..

first time ive had something like this happen
(coming from digi96, hdsp96/52 RMEs, also never had issues with babyface...) but im new to mac, so maybe there really were some weird mac settings somewhere... anywho, happy that its again purring like a kitten wink

Yep. Weird settings. For Mojave and a new driver install, you need to go into System preferences (under the Apple menu), click on Security & privacy and allow your audio programs to access the sound system (Core audio). That sound system is represented as a mic icon.

When installing newer drivers over old ones, on an upgraded system, some weird things might happen. We're all beta testers since Apple started releasing a new Macos every year...

When installing older drivers over newer ones, weird things WILL happen big_smile
