Topic: How to connect UFX II with Adam S3H via AES/EBU?
Hi!
I have UFX II and Adam S3H active speakers.
How to connect them since UFX II has only one AES/EBU output?
Thank you!

One XLR cable from the UFX to the first Adam.
Adam has a In and a Out.
Second XLR cable from Adam1 to Adam2.
On the backside of the Adam is a small display and a pushknob to make the settings and select AES L or AES R input.
The "only" one AES output from the UFX is a stereosignal and the Loudspeaker takes out the desired channel.
No worry, you are fine.

According to the standard AES cables (twisted cables with XLR plug) should have 110 Ohm.
Example cable: https://www.thomann.de/de/cae_29014_aesebu_kabel.htm
It's digital data transfer, there are two channels running over this one wire, one frame carrying subframes for left and right channel.
Some speakers - like the one that you purchased - have an AES splitter built-in, this saves you the purchase of a separate AES splitter (or y-cable which is a cheap solution for shorter cable lengths).
So you need one AES cable from UFX II to your 1st monitor and then a second AES cable from 1st to the 2nd monitor.
Then you need to configure your active monitors, check manual how to perform this (depends on the monitor):
- left monitor, to use the subframe for left channel
- right monitor, to use the subframe for right channel.
