Re: where do I find synchcheck?

Is this a Scarlette or a Clarett ?

The Scarlette has no adat in therefor it is master always and the Fireface has to set the clock-mode to adat optical in, in the Fireface USB-settings program. A synccheck for download is unknown to me.
The clock configurations has to fit the devices then it will work.

Which device do you have ? There is no device called October Mk II.

Only if this is known, one can give you a recommendation on the basis of the connection possibilities of the device, how you can create the clock synchronization between both devices best.

BTW ... Sync Check is implemented in the device and in the ASIO driver, there is no "SyncCheck software" for download. The manual contains more detailed explanations in chapter 8.8, if you are interested:

Thanks, my apologies. Damned predictive text. Focusrite Octopre I meant. I read the manual nd it has now started working.

Re: where do I find synchcheck?

hmm. on Mac osx. Fireface now sees the ADAT clock and is synched, but total mix doesn't see any input though I can see the meters on the Octopre showing I have signal.

Re: where do I find synchcheck?

Sorted: pilot error, but you knew that:-)

Which Octopre ? Focusrite has released many different products over the years with "Octopre" in the product name, but they had different features. To avoid misunderstandings and potentially wrong information please be so kind and post the URL to the correct product, thank you.

What was the issue ? How did you solve it ?

Checked the connections, replugged them. Octopre MKII Dynamic is the Frite model. Top box:-) One-knob brute-force compressor on each channel.

Re: where do I find synchcheck?

And in regards to your setup, if I may ask ..
802 is clock master and the Frite gets clock through it's ADAT input (as it has ADAT inputs) ?

I remember I had also a Focusrite Octopre in the past, the less expensive version, which didn't have ADAT inputs
and no routing from ADAT to it's line outputs. Even no WC out port.
