Topic: Use Mac volume buttons for mains AND phones?

Hi all,

I've used my mac's volume buttons for my mains (Analog 1&2) and for my phones (Phones 3&4) but I wonder if it's possible to have those same buttons control *both* separately. Maybe using the Function button to access the second?

Or, failing that, maybe it's possible to use them to control something in the Software Control section? That way I could leave the mains and phones at a reasonable level and just control the overall volume going to both. Is that possible?

Please what is your interface and what is this Mac ?
Do I understand you right ?
You can push the speaker buttons on your Mac-computer keyboard and it adjusts the volume of the music coming out of your RME interface ?

It's only possible wit the FF400 and a few later ones.

Apparently, it causes some problem, so it wasn't implemented on other RME interfaces.

Personally, I think it's great to be able to control levels with the Mac volume buttons.

The mute button is still disabled, which is also great.

That's too bad. Could open up some cool creative possibilities!

I realised today that I could set up the headphones as Speaker B and control both volumes by using Link... tho I can only adjust volume when I'm listening to Speaker A. So it's not perfect, but it's a step in the right direction.

I wonder if I could set up some kind of send from the Main out, so when that changes the amount sent to phones also changes?
