Topic: RME FF800 headphone ohmage for Beyerdynamics DT1990Pro

Hi

Can anyone advise if these headphones which require a 250 per channel so 500 total I believe. Although they quote 250 ohms I understand this is per earphone.

Hoping someone has had some experience and advise.

I read someone quoting 30 ohms. 24 and upto 600ohm *edit for the headphone socket on the FF800 (sorry was written poorly).

To my knowlege it is not per ear or channel, it is per device headphone.
And the headphone does not require it, the headphone has it fix, you can measure it but not change.
The headphone socket is not designed for a specific amount of Ohm, you can plug any headphone.
For the FF800 I think the DT1990 with 250 ohm will work well.

BabyFace pro fs runs my DT1770s fine (not DT770) but not sure about these. Should be ok. I do struggle getting a decent level on my AKG Q701s though.

Babyface Pro Fs, Behringer ADA8200, win 10/11 PCs, Cubase/Wavelab, Adam A7X monitors.

The DT1990Pro works perfectly with any RME device, including the FF800.

Couldnt re-find where I read someone quoting 250ohms per channel for the headphones, didnt make sense to tbh.

Appreciate all the info.

Can I ask one olther question, will the FF800 drive the headphones at 250ohm or is it a lower rate?
