Hi!
Using Auria pro on Ipad pro. UCX CC mode.
WHenever I try to record guitar or bass. After a few minutes crackling starts and gets worse with time.
I am using Mixbox plugin, or Amplitube plugin.
Same thing happens when I use the standalone apps.
I have tried lower input volume, lower output volumes to no avail.
I have tried bigger (over 512) latency buffers to no avail.
WHat’s going on?

When play a music in the iPad and listen on headphones via UCX is it also crackeling ?
Never crackling when playing only when I try to record. And when I do the crackling is both on the speakers and in the headphones
Is the crackling in the recordings as well ?
Is the crackeling there also when the guitar is not playing ?
Want to find out where exactly the noise is made.
Without recording no crackling ?
But when you start to record then the noise starts ?

Crackling only when i touch the guitar or play, even before recording anything.
Crackling is recorded.
Crackling gets worse over time.
this sounds bitter.
You have the guitar plugged in direct without any pedal board distortion overdrive effects ?
Have you checked different inputs on the UCX ?
At moment I think the input stage is kaput and the device needs send in for repair, but this is a guessing.
Better check out all possible things, if you are ok this way.

Just wanted to let you know that I took the risk of buying other plugins, and my problems are gone for now!
Must have been a bug in IK Multimedia apps…Now using Tone Stack Pro and KLEVGR Stark Amp…
It might also be, as a possibility although not confirmed, because I am running on IpadOS beta but still the other plugins work fine…
Did you buy these IK Multimedia plugins? Noise is often part of plug-ins as long as they are in demo mode.
I fear your problems may not be over.

I did buy the full version of IK with all options…lots of money….
I thought my problems were over with my new other plugins…but not.
Same horror!
It is so bad that I may have to buy an iMac 24 for my studio!
The totalmix rme is ok though so far on its own, but with plugins no.
What scares me is that it worked all fine for about a year and then it started.
So the only logical thing that I can think of is the fact that I have iPadOS beta..I am not sure…
DO you have a public release of IpadOS and have the same issue?
This really sucks as nobody knows….
How old is your iPad Pro? It sounds like they might've changed something in iOS that's causing the issue.

Tried without any plugins in auria pro same crackling issue after 5 minutes…
However tried it in Totalmix alone and there are no problems whatsoever. I even cranked up the levels max and still nothing bad happened! SO I am having a feeling that it is due to the OS. As the UCX without OS works fine!

Finally found the answer to my miseries!
You MUST do a forced restart! And that’s it!
All issues are gone! Praise the Lord and Apple forums!

I'm not sure that will be the final solution. I've tried that and the crackling always returns.
Edit: or do you mean a restart like this? Holding the slider for 30 seconds?
Not a normal restart, a forced restart!

What IPADOS version you got?
I’m on the latest version, 14.6
I switch to 14.7 before I did it. Because 14.6 latest beta did not do the trick for me either. So I went for 14.7 hoping, still did not work…then I read about the apple forum did the forced restart and it all worked….hope the same will happen to you!

If anyone else out there is having issues, either hold out for iOS 14.7 release, or grab the 14.7 beta now.
Ok, I spoke too soon. It worked flawlessly for several hours after updating, but now the problem is back. Infuriating.
