Topic: Mute Groups Pre-FX Send?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to RME and just working through the manual. I'm using a Babyface Pro FS with the latest driver and TotalMix 1.73 on macOS Big Sur 11.3.1.

If I Mute a track, the FX send is also muted but if I create a Mute Group and enable it, the track input gets muted but I still get the FX return coming through.

Is this something others are seeing? Is there a way to make the Mute Group mute the track post-fx send?

The reason for this behaviour is mentioned in the manual:

The Mute groups operate – other than the global mute – exclusively for the current routing. This way you can not mute signals on all outputs unintentionally. Instead signals can be muted on specific submixes by the push of a button.

The Aux path is one per input, so mute would cancel Aux also on not muted ouritngs of an input. We opted for the less severe way of working.
