Topic: UC and Total Mix (Windows) - Softplay back some octaves to high

Hi,

I've got some problems with my new Fireface UC (newest drivers and firmware 138).

If I play some songs on my windows (application independent) and monitor it thru the Phones (Monitor Ch 7/8), I'll get the sound in a much to high frequency.

If I put the headphone jacks into on board Realtek sound, everything is fine.

I would appreciate some help!

Thank you very much,

Best regards,
Ralf

Please open USB Settings dialog and list all settings or provide a screenshot.

May be the sample rate settings don't match the sample rate of the music.

Thank you for you reply, but I'm sorry, I don't know what you really mean.
USB Settings. There are no special USB settings in Windows 10.

The device manager shows 44,1 KHz, 16 bit or 24 bit in CD or studio quality. It makes no difference.
Of course the mp3 files are also sampled at 44,1 Khz.

The Settings is a program where you make settings for the interface, it is called USB Fireface settings and there should be an icon at the bottom next to the other program Totalmix.
you can probably find it also under C programme RME

The settings window of the RME ASIO Driver that you installed.

Hi,

one step further wink Thanks.

USB Settings are standard I assume:

If I change pitch to -4 percent within tab one - clock mode, I'll get correct results (by ear).

But that seems to be a little bit wired, isn't it?

What player is that? It seems to use 32 kHz as output reference. In the Sound Control panel you should be able to see the current sample rate of the UC's WDM devices.
