Topic: Upgrade from FF400 to UCX is it worth ?
Hi, I have FF400 now and I love it, but I would like to get rid of that FireWire and switch to USB. I was thinking of buying UCX. Any opinion on this ?

Best choice in that category of box size.
UFX+ offers more features.
And yes it is worth because you keep on working with Totalmix.

So the best choice is to wait and see what new things come our way. Unfortunately, I couldn't read the post on Instagram because I don't have an account there and I don't plan to let this social media platform force me to do so.
+1.
I'll check what next tuesday brings, and decide. But I think it will be UCX.
Maybe this Excel sheet serves you well regarding product selection.

I limit myself to the existing FW/USB/TB devices, which I do not intend to change.
You can add the FF400 yourself as a diligence task, I bet you know afterwards why I made this decision.
And a small thank you for what is available would actually have been quite nice as well.
As rule you should not upgrade unless you need to or if it solves a problem, for example needing more inputs.
Also you are never 100% sure an upgrade wil work as intended. So be careful when ditching a working setup.
Jest my humble 2 cents.

Oh I'm 100% upgrade will work, infact I know 100% it will work even better than this one, because it has USB over stupid Firewire which I hate soooo much. I am looking forward to ditch that Firewire as soon as possible. But of course that's not the main reason for upgrade, there are a lot more reasons like new tehnology, preamps etc.
I decided otherwise and added the data of FF400 and FF800. So have fun with the comparison. If someone sees a typo, please report. And as always without guarantee.
