I'm using a UFX+ through Thunderbolt 2 via a 2013 Macbook Pro. I would like to send signal from the analog inputs to the analog outputs for live performance use. The microphones are plugged into preamps at the desk, and I simply wish to send the sound from the analog inputs (1-8) to analog outputs (3-6) and thus on to the PA.

The problem is, I get loud, crystal clear output from software playback through those outputs, but a VERY low (nearly inaudible) signal from the outputs while any live instruments are played through the analog inputs.

Is there any reason why the software playback is clear but the analog inputs are extremely quiet? I do have them set at unity gain on the faders in Totalmix routing to the appropriate outputs.
