Morning.
I’m looking at buying a black edition adi 2. I’m sure the answer is obvious, but am I right in thinking that the servo balanced analogue input will take unbalanced input with a trs connector. The use case is imputing from an unbalanced phono stage with and rca to trs cable.

Thank you. I have just bought one. Regarding xlr connection to the analogue input-is the connector on the dac male or female, I can’t quite tell from the pictures or see this in the documentation. I’m assuming it to be male like the output.
On XLR the connection pins always point in the direction of the signal flow.
ADI-2 Pro’s analog input has a female XLR connector.
You need a cable with a male XLR.

It’s a combi-connector that accepts 1/4’ TS and TRS plugs too, this is why it looks different to the usual female XLR.
