Topic: Powering Down Babyface Pro FS

Hi! Currently operating a Macbook Pro 2018 on Big Sur. SO, for the the FUT…it says I have to power down my BF Pro FS for 5 seconds…is there a way I can do this without unplugging USB ? I’m on a Macbook Pro so when I researched the BIOS method it was only for PCs. Is there any good way to power down the RME, without unplugging it, in order to reset it after updating the firmware using the FUT? Hope that makes sense. Thanks!

No, removing cable is only way. Unless your Mac stops power to usb when you shut it down, you can see if the lights of the bf stay on after laptop shutdown.
I configured my desktop PC to stop power to the USB ports when shut down, but this involves jumpers on the motherboard.

I just unplug the usb. Make sure you push it fully home though when putting it back in. I made that mistake once and it does show but doesn’t work and TotalMix won’t start.
