Topic: Babyface processor/graphics noise

I have a lovely new Babyface Pro FS.
It's on a USB connection to my tower PC, running Windows 10 Pro - i7 - 24Gb RAM - NVIDIA graphics card with 4Gb GPU.
Every time I do anything on the computer - move the mouse, scroll the wheel, I hear static on the Analogue Audio outs of the Babyface.
How can I stop this, please?

First try a different USB port. It sounds like your USB port is not isolated.

Babyface Pro Fs, Behringer ADA8200, win 10/11 PCs, Cubase/Wavelab, Adam A7X monitors.

Re: Babyface processor/graphics noise

It's a ground loop problem between your PC and the (powered) speakers. The noise travels via cable shielding. One way to get rid of it is to break pin 1 (shield) of the XLR cable on one side.

You can also try to disable various C-states in your BIOS (C6-10/C3/C1E in that order). This leads to the VRM section of the mainboard being stressed less between extremes and thus sometimes causing less noise.
