RME User Forum → TotalMix FX → Total Mix + Live Professor
Hey All,
I have recently begun using Live Professor alongside TMfx as a sidecar. I see that the Rev L, Rev R bus is showing up in Live Professor as both available inputs and outputs. Ideally it would be nice to Utilize my own VSTs in the fx bus rather than having to use loopback and eat up an available input to the multi track.
Thoughts?

My thoughts (no disrespect intended) ... you must be mistaken. The FX Send/Return of TMFX is not represented in any driver that LP may be using (ASIO etc) - it's completely internal to TMFX. The bus you are seeing must be a default setup in LP's own DSP mixer.

i do not believe i am mistaken about the bus showing up, it is available as a record-able source in all the DAWs i use (ProTools, Wavelab, etc). whether or not i can use any of my own custom fx RTNs inside of the totalmix FX bus is the question.

Fully normal. The Babyface Pro renders Reverb and Echo on the host CPU, and needs to send /receive audio data via CoreAudio (same under Windows with ASIO).

so am i to understand, that while it is normal behavior for the babyface pro to render its reverb/ echo on the host CPU there is no way to use the bus other than this function?
Oh ok. I stand corrected. None of my RME's render fx on the host CPU, since this is all news to me. Apologies for misinformation.
