Hey there,
I'm new to RME and I have a big problem. I installed the the driver v2.22 for macOS 10.15.7 then I allowed the RME driver in Settings->Security but the interface is not shown in Totalmix or the Audio-Midi-Setup in macOS when I change to CC then the interface is working. But I really believe this is not the right way to use the interface.
Is there a solution for this issue?

Is the updater working but the unit is up to date ?
Or does the update tool not recognize the unit ?

Does the updater provide any infos about the current firmware number in the unit ?
It says:
USB: Current 37 New 36
DSP: Current 0 New 21
Class Compliant: Current 0 New 11
Fallback USB: 0
When I click on Update, nothing happens
I would try to find another computer to perform the update.
I tried two MacBooks pro 2018 and 2019 and one 2011 with macos 10.13.
At all systems the same issue.

Of course, switch the UCX II back to USB Mode(not CC)
I switched ist back to normal mode before I tested the update
At this point I would contact RME support via Email : support@rme-audio.com
Driver 2.22 is from 2018 and does not know the UCX II at all. I just checked, the website's download description was screwed up. Follow the manual, you need driver 3.21. Should be displayed correctly now on the website as well.
Wow, thank you! That was the problem. I never thought, that the actual driver could be linked in the wrong way.
Good. Next time please read the driver readme. It does not mention the UCX II at all. Same for firmware update - there is none at this time.
