Hi, sorry this makes no sense, there is not something like a combination of Word Clock and ADAT .. these are completely separate things.
The word clock is via separate word clock cabling with 75 Ohm cables.
If you want to clock through ADAT this is generally possible but not with UFX as master, as the Audient has no ADAT input.
A clock signal can only be send from a clock master to an ADAT or AES or MADI output and being received over this medium from a clock slave getting it on a corresponding input.
The audient has no ADAT input, thus you can't get the clock through ADAT as clock slave.
It would also be possible to make one Audient clock master and the UFX to clock slave. Steadyclock will eliminate any clock jitter and then you only need WC (word clock) implementation / cabling between UFX and Audient.
The audient seems to have also a digital port with AES or something in that range. You need to look whether you can make use of it, have no time to look at such detail to that particular Audient device. But maybe you find another good solution.
I personally would prefer to have the device as clock master, that is directly attached to the computer. In this case the UFX.
Then you set the sample rate in the DAW/application, the UFX would be set to the proper sample rate by the ASIO driver and ideally the audients would get clock as clock slave e.g. through WC.
If you make one of the Audients to a clock master its possible, but if you have changing sample rates, then you always need to configure the sample rate at the audient.
And ... if you have the UFX as clock master, then you do not need to turn on the Audients all the time ... so plan "wisely"
