Topic: Updated new version of ADI 2 DAC FS?

I am a new member and forgive me if I post this in error. I tried to search the forum but could not find any answer.
Recently, most of the stores who carry the ADI 2 DAC FS, including the official store in my country have been backordered.  When I contacted some of the stores, I was told that there is a slightly updated version being released, and that is the reason why many stores do not currently have it.

Would anybody know what has been updated, or if it is even true?

Again my apologies if this question has been answered elswhere.

That sticky was indeed the last one I looked at before posting, but I could not find out any further information. I did know that the last updates to the Adi 2 dac fs was the shift to the Ess chip and the subsequent software update, but both these changes were months and even weeks before the current backorders.

edit:
I forgot to add that it was also backordered until a few days ago at several German online retailers (some gave a lead time of 10 weeks). A week or so before it was in stock. I don't know if it was because they finished their stock of the AKM equipped player and had to restock with the ESS version. But I thought it odd that about the same time many retailers were suddenly backordered.

The updated version of ADI-2 DAC is the one with the ESS ES9028Q2M chip.
The differences to the AKM AK4493 version are mention in the latest user manual version 2.7, page:
• 4 (overview)
• 21 (DA filters)
• 28 (some interesting “Expert settings according THD and level trim)
• 33 (DSD direct)
• 56 (Brickwall Filter)
