Topic: Fireface UCX II: TM Routing lost after restart in Standalone Mode

Hello,

I got a problem with the UCX II when using it in standalone mode:
If I restart the device without a connection to a device with TotalMix,
the current TotalMix routing settings are lost / set to default.

Example: I connect the device to an iPad, start TotalMixFX and configure
the control room so that main is mirrored to phones1. When I play
an iPad instrument (e.g. Animoog) now, sound is going out on Analog1/2 and
Phones. Now I disconnect and restart the device, connect it back
again to the iPad and play Animoog again, only Analog1/2 are
activated and play the sound.

If I then start TotalMixFX again, the previously configured control
room settings are restored, phones are playing again.
(This is weird: I would expect TotalMixFX to load the active
configuration from the device, not to recall the last made
configuration in the app and send it to the device.)

I also tried to save the correct configuration to a setup slot
in the device and load it from there, but it seems that the routing
is not stored with the setup slot.

Is this expected behaviour or a bug (or a broken unit)?

I am sure this is documented in the manual.
You need to transfer your TM FX settings into one of the user configs 1..6 which you can recall in stand-alone mode.

Options -> Store current state into device -> 1..6

Thanks for trying to help but:
with setup slot I meant the user configs 1-6.
I tried them, but they do not work as expected
(routings are lost).

And is it normal that the UCX II change their configuration
to something like a default state with a restart?
How do other Fireface products work?

That is expected behaviour. In CC mode a default routing is loaded unless TM FX overwrites that.

The internally saved Setups do not include playback routing. They are for stand-alone mode where no software playback (and routing) exists.
