Topic: Stereo to mono summing cable

I am the owner of a Babyface Pro FS, and I would like to connect it via the headphone out to a single active Avantone Mixcube for mono mixing.

First question, would it be best to use headphone out 1 (6.5), or headphone out 2 (3.5)?

Secondly, are the resistors required for the Babyface Pro FS, and would 470 ohm 1/8-watt 1% resistors be the correct choice?

I believe the Avantone speaker impedance is Nominal 8 ohms.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Re: Stereo to mono summing cable

Why not selecting "mono" in TM FX and then turning the panorama knob to the L or R ?

Thanks for the quick response.

I am interested in a wired solution as I have other equipment besides the Babyface that I want to connect to the Avantone speaker, so I was wondering about compatibility due to the potential back feed issue mentioned in the video.

The TM FX mono option mentioned above is my alternative solution.

Cheers.

Re: Stereo to mono summing cable

personally I woud not short the tr of a stereo output to make it mono.
Neither would I put resistors on the output.
