Topic: FF 802 and 800

Hello

I want to use the FF800 and 802 together as one device to expand channel count.

Does anybody know the correct way to wire up?

I already have the ADATs taken up with more inputs and pre’s so a simple Adat link is sadly not an option.

I’m guessing FW400 from PC to FF800 then FW800 link to FF802? Or 2 FW 400’s into the PC? Any word clock required or similar?

It should be the other way round: FW800 to FF1, from there via FW400 to FF2. An alternative is a FW card that has more than one output, so every unit gets is own direct port access. Then make sure they are synced via WC.

I do have a fw card with multiple ports and connected them individually. It is working well and synced by word clock.
