Topic: Problems with BabyFace Pro/TotalMix and OBS

Hello all, I have seen one or two similar topics to mine discussed here and there, but I cannot seem to figure out why OBS will not see the audio coming from the BabyFace Pro. I actually made a short video showing my settings in both TotalMixFX and OBS, just to limit the typing here.

In short- mic is coming in through TotalMix. Routed to my main analog 1/2 output. With both Loopback on and off on the output, and the Babyface clearly selected in OBS as the source for the audio input, nothing is coming through. Any assistance or suggestions are appreciated!

Re: Problems with BabyFace Pro/TotalMix and OBS

I just tried with the latest update from OBS.
Here, OBS mac does not receive any audio at all from Fireface.
not even the audio channels 1/2 arrive there.

This video explains a workaround, may it help you, I didn't try.

Re: Problems with BabyFace Pro/TotalMix and OBS

Hi, I tried the above fix and it wouldn't work. I can use that utility to at least get my desktop audio, but it doesn't get my mic inputs or loopback from AN 1/2 in TotalMix.

HOWEVER, I did find this on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNfYHF1q8Rc&t=0s

it makes use of a different third party freeware (two of them, actually.... ), so I will let you know if it works for me

I appreciate the help.

Re: Problems with BabyFace Pro/TotalMix and OBS

Happy to report back that the above video DOES work. Two apps must be used, the first is Ladiocast, from the Mac app store, which functions as an internal routing software. You have to loopback to an unused pair of inputs (I used ADAT3/4) and tell Ladiocast to listen to channels 7/8 on the Babyface (or whatever interface). You then have to route that to Blackhole, the other application (which I believe just functions the same as that other application in the video you linked).

You can then select blackhole as an audio input in OBS and it works!!

Thanks again!
