Topic: Fireface 400 no volume control stand-alone

When I quit totalmix or disconnect from the computer, my Fireface 400 continues to pass through audio, but I have no control over any levels for headphones or line outputs.

The levels appear to be changing on the display, but the output level remains consistent. No matter what changes I make with the onboard control, the levels remain the same, and then when its connected to the computer again or I relaunch totalmix, it recalls the output settings in totalmix and then functions normally while connected.

Pre-amp controls still seem to respond normally.  I've never had this issue with my UFX or any other RME interfaces before.

I must be missing something.

Re: Fireface 400 no volume control stand-alone

I am running into the same issue - When I'm in Standalone mode of my Fireface 400 the front panel control does nothing to the outputs, namely the Phones 7/8 output. But when I connect it back with firewire the controls work right away. Have you figured out anything? Should I log a service request somewhere? Thanks

Marcus
