Topic: Windows 11 no joy
Sample rate is stuck with 44.1 kHz since upgrade to Windows 11. No automatic switching, no manual switching. Latest drivers, latest firmware. Any ideas really appreciated.

It's way too early to switch to 11, isn't it?
Well, somebody has to take the plunge.
Turns out that removing everything RME from the system helps a lot. WASAPI is working again after doing so. Roon is happy, as am I.
Not so sure about the ASIO driver. I will give this another shot once RME delivers an updated version. Also means I will not use the Babyface pro for a while.

Works all reliably here for my UFX+ (running ADI-2 Pro connected to AES in stand-alone mode), but my Win11 system is really a test system on dedicated SSD. I am personally not using anything which would require a non-ASIO driver.
been fine here since late august on win11.... not a single issue (but i dont have the ADI-2)
cuabse pro 11.0.40, wavelab 10.0.70, digicheck 5.9, Spectral Layers 8
hdsp9652 (4.38) & Digiface USB (09736)
but as ramses suggests it is still early to upgrade if RME's own download site doesnt state "Windows 11" net to the driver, your basically testing!

Sounds more like the usual Windows update issues. If you had the unit connected during the update remove the driver, reboot and reinstall it. Windows 11 does not require any change from our side.

I meant that differently. I actually suspected more that here Roon might have more problems with ASIO as opposed to DAW applications that have supported ASIO for so long. Especially when an OS is just updated.
As long as certain kernel structures (or other things in subsystems) are not being modified in an OS, then a driver can run pretty fine on an upgraded OS and RME driver are certainly well coded in those areas.
I don't have any issues concerning ADI-2 and win11.
Also, zero issue with macOS Monterey as well.
There was no sound issues on my PC for W11 with Foobar, Asio and a ADI 2 Pro AE.
However I have lost all my 7 Firefox windows with about 160 tabs on my taskbar. Therefore I have loaded the W10 21H2 Preview at the moment. This release has not same perfect performance as W11 but it is better than the previous version.
