Topic: Playback speed issues w/ Babyface after Windows update

My Babyface Pro is acting up, after I installed this october update from Windows: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/top … 4ca886cd95

Basically, playbackspeed (video as well as audio) is constantly speeding and slowing down. In addition, cracking noises. I'm currently in the process of un-installing this Window update. Hope it fixes it.

If anyone else has had similar experiences, please share potential solutions. Thanks!

No but I’m on 21H1. Seems odd the symptoms you are getting. Have you rolled back and if so has this fixed it.

Babyface Pro Fs, Behringer ADA8200, win 10/11 PCs, Cubase/Wavelab, Adam A7X monitors.

Yeah it's very odd.

I updated the firmware to version 130. Still, no improvement.

When I change the bitrate to 48K and back, it's okay for a few seconds, but then the speed starts to drift again. It shifts from playing in double speed, to playing at half speed, while making lots of clicking noises.

I shortened the USB cable, and it seems to be improved. Still, odd that it happened after the update.
