Topic: After update to Big Sur, Left/right different output level

Hi there,

I have a problem. I updated from catalina to big sur.
since then i have had a different level left and right on the analog output. about 5db.
Installed the latest driver and the latest firmware. In "audio midi setup" everything is on the same level.
I reset the mixer.
Thanks for help.

Please check the cables, the difference for Balanced vs Unbalanced is 6dB.

Re: After update to Big Sur, Left/right different output level

the cables are balanced.
everything worked great before the update.

Re: After update to Big Sur, Left/right different output level

Have you checked if there isn't a "balance" control in System preferences/Sound?

I've only seen this kind of problem once after an update, and it was with internal audio. Never found a solution and the user was happy correcting it with the balance control.

Obviously, the user wasn't an audiophile big_smile

I only see an imbalance at the optical digital input here....
