Topic: Hi, from Australia.

I've been experimenting with recording guitar into Cubase using headphones (only a really cheap pair for now)  for monitoring through my AIO card .
I have the phones running out of the AIO's headphone 1/4" socket but there is noise, although I can't hear it while recording, or afterwards on the recording. Is the AIO output of acceptable quality?

I've never used headphones before, working with a DAW, so I'm also asking for advice about headphones in the $150US range.

P.S. I wonder how  the impedance of 250 Ohm works with AIO's headphone output which, I believe, is 30 Ohms...
