Topic: Bit-perfect recoding

I'm planning to buy a Digiface USB, but I need bit-perfect recording from ADAT/SPDIF. Quick question: is this possible?

Re: Bit-perfect recoding

Yes, because this is digital transmission of data (in the audio quality that your A/D converter delivers)

Take care of clocking as the Digiface USB has no word clock..

So either you make the connected A/D converter to a clock master and the Digiface USB receives the clock through inbound ADAT link
or - if your converter is an AD/DA converter - make Digiface USB to clock master (clock source = "internal") and provide a TOSLINK cable from Digiface USB ADAT OUT to Converters ADAT IN.

Re: Bit-perfect recoding

In fact you can only record bit perfect. TMFX is not used for the recording channels, fader have no influence on recording levels, only for how the inputs are monitored.
