Topic: Multiface remote control cannot find HostServer

Hi !

i am trying to make my Multiface 1 a remote controllable Matrix mixer for having a mixer that is cappable of beeing controlled by Ableton Live Automations. This zero-latency mixing paths are going to be used to have sensitive control over acoustic feedback systems.

I established a working network connection over my ethernet/wifi router.

     from my
Elitebook running Win7 192.168.0.198
connected via Ethernet

firewall is off
Multiface 1
TotalMix FX V1.5
OSC control active, Service on IN port 7001 Out port 9001
Remote Server running on Port 7009

    to an
Acer Spin 5 running Win10

Connected via wifi 192.168.0.199
firewall is off

Babyface 1
TotalMix FX V1.73
TotalMix Remote ( idk the Version

So I start TotalMix Remote and let it scan for a Remote Server. which doesnt connect.
Yesterday out of nothing it worked and TotalMix Remote found the connection and opened the mixer window.
since than I cannot reproduce this.

I used the powershell to check the ports and network connection form the Acer.
the elite book is pingable

testing Ports with Test-NETConnection 192.168.0.198 -p PORT

PORT 7009 says:
tcpTestSucceeded =  True
PORT 7001 says:
tcpTestSucceeded =  False
PORT 9001 says:
tcpTestSucceeded =  False

Could anybody point me somewhere?

Another thing I tried before finding out about the TotalMix Remote Software for windows was controlling the Multiface over OSC with the MAX plugin for Ableton Live 11.

If I send to 192.168.0.198 on port 7001, I can now Control the first 2 Input Faders with

/1/volume1 and /1/volume2

all the higher volume messages do not work.

I found there was a bugfix in TotalMix FX V1.61 saying: "Improved OSC start behavior with delayed wifi connection"
What does this mean for my application?

any help would be appreciated.

After this Works I would have an 8x8 Zero-Latency Mixer and could also use ADAT to have these 16 signals that I can use on my Babyface at the same time.

best regards,
Sebastian
