Topic: Crashes, Glitches Loops

Currently on an m1 silicon with Mac OS Monterey.

Drivers are installed as per support pages and running but I am having a lot of issues.
With a large project I am getting small loops and restarts constantly when trying to play back.

On top of this there are very loud audio glitches of very loud whit noise unexpectedly. These are actually painful and a bit concerning due to hearing.

When I use headphones with the regular audio out of the Mac everything is normal and responsive.

Hello Stuart
The only idea comes to mind is a total Reset in Totalmix.
Menu Options / Reset Options / Total Reset.

May you provide some details, what interface is it and what software you use where this loop stottering did appear ?
Also driver version number.

Re: Crashes, Glitches Loops

Thank you Waedi. I will try the reset.

I am on latest RME software and just updated the firmware as well.

I am using Logic Pro x on an M1 Mac book pro.

I am most worried about the audio noise as it is potentially damaging to hearing.

Apart from this my workflow has ground to a halt as the interface seems to take up to 30 seconds looping over 1 second before it begins playback.

Again as soon as I use headphones direct from the Mac everything is fine.

Re: Crashes, Glitches Loops

No clue what you're speaking from.
What RME device is in use ?
What is the driver version number ? Latest software is unknown.

Re: Crashes, Glitches Loops

Seems like either USB data is corrupted or the buffer is too low for your project. Please connect direct to the Mac (as much as possible - avoid any hub, adapter or extender - obviously you may need an adapter for USBC). Try increasing the buffer in Logic preferences.

Re: Crashes, Glitches Loops

Thanks for the help.
Buffer is set to max and USB is plugged direct in.
