Topic: RME Fireface UC + iPad Pro

I want to give my gf an iPad Pro for christmas. she produces music and uses the RME Fireface UC audio interface. I want that she can embed the iPad into her production (and probably) live workflow. So I think it would be best if she can just connect the iPad to the audio interface. is this possible? If yes, what adapters do I need?

Thank you so much.

Re: RME Fireface UC + iPad Pro

Hey, it's not possible with the UC, she'd need a class compliant interface for this, I think this was first introduced with the UCX.

I see. Thanks for the info.

Oh and just out of curiosity: How would one connect the UCX with the iPad? Which adapter is needed?

Re: RME Fireface UC + iPad Pro

If it is a recent iPad Pro with USB-C you could just use a USB-C to USB-B cable.
But I'd recommend using a USB-C Hub on the iPad, so you can also charge your iPad while its connected to the interface.
Depending on the hub you could still use a USB-C to USB-B cable or a USB-A to USB-B cable.
