Topic: How to use Hardware Send Effects in TotalMix FX

Hi there,

I would like to know if it is possible to monitor audio in Total mix send it to Ableton and get the audio back to Total mix with additional effects from Ableton.

Basically I would want to be able to hear the audio like it goes to my effects chain and set Monitor off in Ableton to have a tight recording. At the moment I can monitor perfectly with Total Mix but I lose the effects chain from Ableton after that.
I know I can set the Monitor on in Ableton to hear the effect chain but then I lose the correct grid recording.

I'm using RME fireface 800 with Ableton 11.

Route it to an unused output, enable loopback. Record this audio in able Ton.
Use effects and send the wet signal to another output in DAW.
The signal shows up under sw playbacks from there you can route this to any output you like in submix mode by selecting the output and raising the Fader of the sw playback channel with the wet signal.
