Hi, and Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it.

I have a problem with my babyface pro:

I was using an external DAC (connected on spdif) with my BFP  and all was ok, but now I bought new monitors and I started using the XLR audio outputs. When i set the volume output fader to 0 the sound is very distorted and bit-crushed. I suspected the monitors, so I routed the output XLR cable to the XLR input and turns out the output volume is way too loud for the input. Device vu-meter leds stay in red at the input, but not at the output. The sound comes in as in the monitors, very distorted and bitcrushed.

Anyone else having this issue? Is there any setting for this? (i have looked for it, with no luck). Doesn't matter what i play, daw or tidal, its the same thing. Changed usb port, same thing.

Im on OSX Mojave, macbook pro 2015.

Any ideas? Should i contact the reseller and have it serviced? Thanks!
