Topic: Change Core Audio channel on specific output?

Hey

So I have a HDSPe MADI FX and I am listening to system audio via the AES out. Now that is all fine if I choose the AES output in the Audio Midi Settings in Mac OS. BUT a few apps does not respect that choice (among them Izotope RX editor) but rather they always output sound on channel 1-2 which on this card happens to be MADI 1-2.

My question is: Is there a way to change which output  numbering Mac OS sees somehow? I dont mind hacks etc.

/m

PS. I know of course I route things in total mix but in my case this would be only a workaround.

I was running Mac OS on a Hackintosh for a little bit with an RME interface, and was surprised that I didn't have the same routing capabilities as I did in Windows.

This program was able to solve it for me:

MADI FX, Fireface UFX+, ADI-648, HDSPe RayDAT, ADI-192 DD

Thanks for the tip. I know about Loopback, awesome app. The problem here though is that the channels for the AES out is 193-194, which is way above the allowed 64ch in Loopback. *sad face*
