Topic: Fireface UCX in standalone class compliant mode to work with iPhone

I'm looking at using the RME Fireface UCX to record 2 channels of audio into the iPhone camera app. From what I understand the iPhone by default selects Stereo CH1 and CH2 which I believe corresponds to MIC1 and MIC2 on the UCX.

I've managed to boot it up to CC mode, however, when I plug something into the MIC or Line Inputs, I can't hear anything on the Phone Outs or Main Outs.

How do I route the audio from MIC/LINE1 and MIC/LINE2 into Phones 7/8 and Main Out?

I don't think the Apple camera app allows for monitoring. Bit just in case it does, then you have to use the special CC mode called C8, see manual chapter 35.

The manual also shows how to do this with TotalMix: set up the monitoring under Windows/Mac, save the state as Setup, load the Setup while connected to the iPhone.

o.k. got it, need to set everything up in TotalMix first and then save it as a Setup, change to CC Mode and load Setup.
