Topic: The new remote MRC - a n00b's thoughts at night ...

Hi!

Newbie here, hence the n00b questions. Is there any more comprehensive manual available for the new remote? Downloaded a later DAC manual than mine, but must say, the remote control does not to me seem very thoroughly described.

Yes, I know I should as an owner of the RME figure this out, but I am old enough to admit when I fail and better seek help ... ;-)

Any reference, link or similar way to navigate to a more in detail description how to e.g. access button secondary function etc will be highly appreciated.

Rock-on !..!

Or do you mean MRC Midi Remote Control software ? It has a help menu !

Tell us the model of your RME, is it the Adi-2 Dac Fs? and what problems you encountered and which part you are not clear in operating the remote.

Some basics:

[SEL] function was described at the back of the remote ifself.

Power button, short press to turn the RME on, long press to turn off.

[B/T], [EQ], [LD] has toggle function to turn it on and off.

[1]. [2], [3], [4] has toggle function to turn it on and off according to what you remapped or as default setting.

[VOL] short press is mute, long press has another function depends on what you remapped.

[COAX], [OPT], [USB] short press to select the input source as it named, second press the same button switch to auto. At auto, if there is signal flow from Coax and Opt, it supercedes the USB signal.

Others are as it named, the bigger [+] [-] are volume up/down.

Smaller [+] [-] at sides below "B' and 'T' are up/down of Bass and Treble.

[L] [R] are for balance.

In general, it is not hard to understand, by reading the v3.0 of the manual, Chapter 9, page 18.

Setup of Remote keys remap, Chapter 14.1.1, page 26. and Chapter 14.1.3, page 27.

Try it, and ask again if having any trouble.
