Topic: Left and Right audio level

Hi There,

I have ADI-2 PRO FS R Black edition, trying to record some of my vinyl to 32 bit/768,000, got into a problem that my right channel is very low as compared to left.

on the monitor screen when I turn on M/S proc then it's fine on both levels are equal
but while recording its same problem

Re: Left and Right audio level

M/S processing makes no sense here.
Vinyl isn’t M/S.

As a test, can you please L<>R swap the input plugs on ADI-2 Pro and report back?
And check they’re all the way in!

Re: Left and Right audio level

I have tried changing L R but no help

the left channel is still louder

Re: Left and Right audio level

also, when I switch the AD conversion to DSD both channels are equal but the volume is very low

Re: Left and Right audio level

Is the level difference visible on ADI-2’s level meters for analog input?
(Visible in the Global Level Meter page, press Encoder 1 three times).

As a test, try a lower resolution, like 44.1 kHz /16 bit, to exclude a communication problem.

And forget DSD, it’s a pain in the ...

Re: Left and Right audio level

Casual observation here...

Dubbing Vinyl at such high SR is seemingly likely to invite HF Non-Audio content that can result in very high levels of Intermodulation Distortion which will only detract from the listening experience.

A Tonearm's Wiring makes a fine Antenna for heaven knows what type of trash to be introduced.   96/24 is generally what Vinyl Archivers prefer.

Just Saying!
