Topic: Using PEQ Bands in Random Order

Is there any need to use the EQ bands of ADI-2 DAC in strictly ascending order (from lower to higher frequency)?

Why do I ask:
Quality factor (Q) is adjustable from 0.5 to 9.9 in bands 1 to 3, but only 0.5 to 5.0 in bands 4 and 5.
Now I need all 5 bands (+bass and treble) but Q 7.0 in band '4' ('4' if in ascending order).

Since the device obviously allows me to set up the bands in 'random order' I guess this is OK (to make use of the higher Q range of the 'lower' bands for the higher frequencies)?

Example (just for illustration):
Band 'Bass': 50 Hz, Q5.0
Band 1: 500 Hz, Q 5.0
Band 2: 1 KHz, Q 5.0
Band 3: 5 KHz, Q 9.9
Band 4: 3 KHz, Q 5.0
Band 5: 7 KHz, Q 5.0
Band 'Treble': 10 KHz, Q 5.0

Thanks a lot.

Re: Using PEQ Bands in Random Order

eq bands are independent so any order is fine.

Re: Using PEQ Bands in Random Order

EQ bands can be set independently or in any combination.
