Topic: Just bought a synth, and have no audio to my RME soundcard

Hi smile

Have read the korg manual smile

Korg USA support is of no help.

Here is the sit:

Brand new Wavestation. RME pcie aio card. If I plug hphones to the WS hphone jack, I hear audio. If I plug a WS audio op to an amplifier, I hear audio. If I plug a WS op to my computer's audio interface in, I hear nothing. I do however hear audio by plugging other things to my computer's audio interface in, using the same cables. It's only the WS that does not give me audio.

The card appears to be working as expected, but so does the WS when routed elsewhere.

Was hoping someone has an idea on what i might be doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Hello!

To which port did you connect the Wavestation? And which breakout cable, for your AIO, are you using?
I 'm asking this, because there are two ports that use the same type of connection(RCA or XLR), but one of them is Digital(SPDIF-AES/EBU).

Also, are you familiar with TotalMixFX?
Also, which AIO are you using? The newer "Pro", or the previous one?

Hi

the older pro

" there are two ports that use the same type of connection(RCA or XLR), but one of them is Digital(SPDIF-AES/EBU)."

Yes. I am using the same XLR connections as the other gear that works.

Cheers.

Problem solved. I had mono 1/4" > XLR; swapping those for stereo 1/4" > XLR fixes the issue.

Cheers.
